Ya it wasn't really that, far, from work I had 2 go home 1st ('coz I 4got my wallet at home...), then I went 2 the shop, and back 2 work.
'twas around 35-40km's drive in total, it's just the traffic over lunchtime is terrible... >__< And I have a heavy foot, that makes it worse... lol

glad you likey your new monitor.....now you can see our cute and fuzzy posts better

yeah college text books are the WORST when it comes to costs, and I think the math ones were the most expensive for their size (I mean $40 for a 30 page book???? comeon)...and that was what 20 years ago! I remember plunking down more than a hundred dollars on text books (and I was an art major--we had very few text books!)....the math/computer guys were doing twice or more than I was.....and then you cant sell them back for what you paid even if they are in perfect condition! ----
well at least the book store with our college had SOME used books at a tiny discount, but still.....
dang wish the gov't had paid for that stuff----that would have been sweet! Your one lucky cat Katsumi!

well back to listening to them finally pave the road they dug up over a week ago (they still have yet to do ours, though the DID put the curbs back in, and by now they should be 'cured' so we can drive in our driveway again, I think---)

You know that you can buy some of the books off of the students that had them last year. Also, when I was in college I could get the local library to get the books in so that I could take them out for free.

I would take them out and pay the fine at the end of the term. Like 5 bucks or something like that instead of 175.

Put an add in the paper for the books you want. That works to. I took Electrical/Electronics with Heavy math theory (not English Opps) and they would always come out with w "New Addition" so that you would have to buy the new one. Most of the time the theory was the same but the page numbers were different. Try that to. The Prof might have something to say but saving student Loan money for beer money was always a first consideration!

yeah that worked some of the time (I got a previous ed of my sociology book, that didnt work however.)....If you get to the right place at the right time you can get some deals on books.....however, some of the time those are all gone (people trading amongst friends/frats/etc)....and you have no choice but to bite the bullet and buy new (or like some of the ones I got---I wanted a clean copy since I planned on keeping them--usually the ones in one of my 3 majors, likewise my husband kept the ones in his 2 majors----nothing like getting a used book with everything already highlighted and

pages REMOVED or defaced )

use the money on pizza, its cheaper than beer and you can tell your mom you are eating from all of the food groups (dairy-cheese, meat-pepperoni, veggie-green peppers, and grains--the dough! )

I like buying them at the bookstore because I can look through them before I buy them. That way, like cosy said, they are not defaced or ripped. It may be cheaper but it's not always safer.

So work today sucked, was not a good day for work. Then I got home and found out I had a dr appointment. >< So ya was out for pretty much 11 hours today since we didin't get back till 5ish...

Lol i didnt know Starship Trooper 3 is already out. I just love the cheesiness of Starship trooper movies combined with some action. Didn't like ST2 because they were actually trying to be completely serious.

Is it just me or the more I see e-harmony and Progressive car insurance commercials the more I hate those companies.

Raining here today. And of course, I'm on my bike, so riding home in that will just be great.

But we need the rain, so I probably shouldn't complain.

Watching Die-Hard can't that boring.

Im about to run to the gym, because its raining. If my dad changed the inspection sticker on the car I usually drive, i'd be driving. I normally don't take the car when I go to the gym, only when it rains and it seems it wont be stopping anytime soon.

cya all later, time to do my squatz and deadlifts.
